About Me
As someone that grew up in the Northeast, I have always loved exploring and spending time in the mountains. One of my favorite ways to do that is on my snowboard!
My snowboarding journey began in 2009 at Blue Hills Ski Area in Canton, Massachusetts, and I was hooked from the very first day. What started as a new hobby quickly became a lifelong passion. Before long, I was working as a snowboard instructor at Nashoba Valley Ski Area, where I got my first real look behind the scenes of the ski and snowboard industry.
A few years later, my now-wife and I moved to North Carolina. While the mountains weren't quite as snowy, I was fortunate enough to land a job at a local ski shop, managing the rental department and spending my downtime helping in the repair shop. It was there that I truly began to understand the value of proper equipment maintenance, not only for improving performance on the mountain, but also for extending the life of skis and snowboards. With the region's often thin snow coverage, there was never a shortage of repairs, giving me hands-on experience with everything from edge work to base repairs.
After we got married, we made the move to Salt Lake City, Utah, where I was able to expand my knowledge and refine my tuning skills even further. I spent countless days riding at Snowbird and Brighton, eventually discovering the incredible opportunities that backcountry snowboarding had to offer. Exploring terrain beyond the lifts gave me a whole new appreciation for reliable, well-maintained equipment, where performance and dependability matter even more.
Living in Utah also inspired me to set a personal goal: ride every month of the year. Thanks to the long snow season and summer snowfields, I've been able to keep that streak alive for nearly five years. Riding year-round has reinforced something I've believed for a long time, taking care of your equipment isn't just about making it ride better today. Regular maintenance keeps your skis and snowboard performing at their best, extends their lifespan, and ensures they're ready whenever the next adventure calls.
Today, I bring that same passion and attention to detail to every pair of skis and every snowboard that comes through my shop. As the owner and only technician at Send-It Ski & Snowboard Tuning, every tune, repair, and wax is completed by hand. My goal is simple: provide honest, high-quality workmanship and treat your equipment with the same care and precision that I expect for my own.
